![]() Oh, Ok... I'll try them to see if they have the RS232 module
If they don't Is it possible to share the RS232 port. E.g. unplug the AI and plug the laptop in to setup the program, and then plug the lamp back in? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the AI controller |

![]() No thats a waste of money and huge loss of functionality, I would seriously wait.

![]() What sort of functionality would I lose with the AI controller vs hooking it up to the profilux? The money is kind of moot--$80 for the AI controller vs. $80ish for the PLM USB
Would sharing the sole RS232 port work? I don't really hook up to the laptop that often. Is there any risk to the profilux unit if I've designated the rs232 port for the AI lamp in the menu and then plug into my laptop with it? |

![]() Hi
yes you cna share the port, you first program the controller to do what you want then plug the lamp in. GHL has lot more day and lunar functions than the Ai controller, it is also easier to have everything under one hat. |

![]() Excellent,
If I can share the port then that will be my short term solution! Thanks! |
