Maybe you could get some Formaldehyde from a pharmacist. I just read it's usually a 37-56% solution for fish.

Paraguard does something similar although less strong.

You can try to order some Kordon Formalin 3 dip from some USA sites but not sure they ship to Canada:

Formalin must never freeze so if you order it make sure the temperature will be warm enough when you order, day and night.
