This happened to my Sohal Tang a week before he passed away several months ago.

My Powder Brown, who I've had for 3 weeks, just developed them. He's eating like a pig, like the Sohal was, but he has grey and white splotches all over him. What could this be?

Black ich or "tang disease". Your gonna have to treat it via F/W dip. Im going through the same ordeal. Just passing on some information from fellow canreefers.

Black ich? He doesn't seem to have any black dots on him. He has large splotches and discoluring that are about 2 cms in diameter.

I tried but he doesn't sit still. They are all on one side of his body. light grey (normal body colour) splotch that is in the shape of a sea urchin and then other dark grey splotches. One looks like a map of North Americs minus Quebec.

My foxface gets that whenever he's stressed. He lives at my tangs side, but the tang has always seemed fine. The tang's black in color so maybe i just don't see it? I'll be following to see what comes from this.
