My tank developed some sort of strange black algae (I think) on many of my rocks. I read a few accounts of this on other forums and after switching to BRS HC it very slowly went away.

Good to know as I just received my order of HC GFO from BRS, how much should I be using for 100g of water? 2 tablespoons was what I was planning to start with... Anyone have input?

RowaPhos is what I use and if you buy bigger volume pails it works out to be a bit cheaper than buying just 100 ml at a time

What would be a good, cheaper GFO to use in a reactor?
