Ok mister itywinky I think my 1st post is clearer now its edited.

12 is a good number because it is the sum of 10 and 2 which are both highly excellent numbers for reasons I can't get into. 17 is pretty cool because it is a prime number and has nice symmetry and bears a slight resemblance to 7.

The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42. Of course however the answer means nothing unless you first know the right question to ask.
