I missed this thread somehow. I love the new setup! Froggy's are sooooo cute! Hey, I should put one in MY nano!

How are you liking the BM? I haven't ever looked at them or considered them before...looks a lot like a SWC or Skimz. Seems like having the pump in the skimmer body is the new fad for small skimmers. I like this new fad...makes nano sumps a lot easier!

Thanks Mindy. I do like the BM skimmer pulled out a lot of foamy gunk after I added the sand. Love having the pump in the skimmer body, saves a lot of room that way, especially when you don't have a lot of room to work with in the first place.

The BM skimmer was orginally supposed to be a small Nac 3.5 but Dave (concept aquatics) didn't have them in stock so I got upgraded to a Nac-7, got an excellent deal on it which I couldn't turn down. A bit over kill (rated for 130-185g) but I figure if I ever upgrade I wont need a new skimmer

Always thinking of the upgrade! That's what I was thinking when I bought an SWC 120 cone for my 20 gallon nano!

Nice build! I love that froggy too! I have the bm skimmer and its pretty good. I got it from my brother. The only complaint is that the meshwheel break (I'm not sure if yours came with the meshwheel or if they have upgraded to the needle style wheel, but I would recommend having a spare on hand just in case).

Looking forward to seeing more of this cute little guy
