Nothing but good reviews on these pumps, but I believe quite a bit more money?

with losses the 1262 (which I love) will not give you your desired output but maybe for a super reliable and fairly quiet pump that's ok?

I find that the Mag 12 or 18 put a lot of heat into the tank. In the summer months this will be a problem for a smaller system.

Good point Tom. I use a MAG 12 to mix my new water (50g barrel) and the pump does heat it to the correct tank temp. In the hot summer months, I need to turn it off the day before using the water..

Default Try a Water Blaster HY-5000 Pump (1300GPH)

I bought these pumps for my return pump and circulation pump. I got the HY-10000 and the HY-5000 Pump. Absolutely amazing pumps. They are super quiet to the point that I had to put my hands on them to see if they started. I took the HY-5000 off which was Recirculation pump and put a reeflo dart instead just for a bit more water movement. But other than that I have the bigger one running my 225 Gallon for about a couple of months now. And the power consumption is so little only 60 Watts.

Little bit more money but save on electricity.

Thanks
Erick
