I can answer the fan concern.

The whole area is sealed no electrical internal components can be effected by salt. I think Ecotech made some statement about this. Hope that helps.

I was just reading on RC where a guy bought 12 Radions for his tank!!
Must be nice to be rich and operate/own a 500 gallon tank with 12 Radions hanging above it!

Also received an email from Ecotech for a software update today that I will have to dwld in few mins.

Thats exactly what I had to do just a few mins ago is uninstall the old version then dwld new version. According to update features all updates should dwld automatically now. Only visual difference I see is an advanced setting tab. Also read where they can be now configured the the pumps now also with this update.

one of the updates was a big one dealing with the programing of the lights. Every time you went back to a manual saved point on your graph, the brightness setting would automatically default back to 100%
