strange bubble forming on frogspawn

My hammer coral has done the same. While I wouldn't consider it normal because it happens rather seldom, it is nothing to be too concerned about. I do believe it is one method of individual heads commencing a split.

it is very similar to mikes hammer pic.. but not showing up so well on my cel phone cam... i will let it be as it seems to be not a big deal
