No you cant use XP-G and XP-E in the same circuit if you want them at 100% XP-E is 1000mA and XP-G is 1500mA so you would blow the XP-Es.

XP-G outputs 139 lumens and XP-E 122 that is running them at 350mA. Cree doesnt have data fro XP-E at full power which is weird. However the XP-G output 463 lumens at full power.

For that size of tank i would recommend 2 pods each holding 28 LEDs so a 56 LED setup. Since you are 20 inches wide you could use any of our 6 inch heatsinks (6 x 9 or 6 x 12). Or I am getting in some larger 10 x 10 which gives nice coverage. 50/50 royal blue to white gives you a color around 14K or you can go 60/40 for a 20K bluer look. We also have regular blues now so you can mix Royal Blue and regular Blue for more spectrum and maybe throw in an additional Red if you want.

What kind of difference in brightness between the white XP-E and XP-G? Can they be used together in the same circuit (like a standard series of XP-E)? I dont know if you can use 5W @ 100% with 3W in the same circuit.

Thanks
