I have bougth six over the last year in some nice colours. I myself can not keep them from bleaching in my tank. No matter where I put them. Medium light, low light, in a cave they all bleach. Even in my frag tank under t5's. It really upsets me I can't keep these unbleached because they are so colourfull and they stay in one spot close to where you place them.

How long did you have them before they bleached? I've had mine for almost a week it's under T5's about 2 feet away from the light but the bulbs are old and I was meaning to replace them soon. However I don't want to bleach my maxi mini

They all starting bleaching around the two week mark for me. There are alot of people that have had success with these. Just keep in mind they are a low light anemone. In my main tank they were under 14K 250W halides.

Interesting. Mine was at the bottom of the tank when I had my old metal halide 14 plusright but then I replaced that with a Phoenix 14k brand new and it moved right underneat the MH. Go figure, I guess Phoenix bulbs are not that strong, and even my maxi mini agree.

Now it's pretty close to the metal halide and seem happy. It also changed color as it was light pink when I got it and now it's much darker in color. I think it was a bit bleached before. I would not call mine low light though.

I've had mine under T5s and 250W halides...pretty much everywhere in the tank and it never lost color...could be something else besides the lighting.

It's possible . I still have 5 . I did loose one to a power head. when I first got them. There are three in my frag tank and two in my main tank in the shade . None of them have shown any hint of there colour comming back.

That's weird...I'm wondering if putting one in a different tank would change things. If you have a buddy with a tank maybe place one in there and see what happens.
