lighting question

Hello....I just purchased a new metal halide light...And I was wondering how long should I let it stay on for the first few times. I now have a 4 bulb t5ho and it stays on for 7-8 hours a day! I really don`t want to burn my zoo`s or anything else! If anyone could give me a little advice that would be great!

Try a search on light +acclimation, there are lots of threads from the past that will give you a dozen different ways to acclimate the corals to your light
