You probably don't know what your next tank will be - perhaps a 90 gallon too large for a MP10 or perhaps you will get out the hobby.

This is a weak vote though... I bought a used MP10 on impulse for my first tank!
same flow?......a MP10 will put out 1500 gph according to the manufacturer, 2460 gph according to the test....... the koralia that compares to the MP10 is the K5 at 1650 gph and 2600 gph respectively.....have you seen the size of a K5?

haha..I am guessing by your comment, the K5 is a big mofo. There are smaller pumps that style... maybe I'm thinking of the Tunze Nanostreams.

I had 2 MP10's on my old 24g tank which is like 1 mp10 on a 12g.... sorta.

I had a couple spare Tunze 6055 and MP10's and in the end I ended up using the MP10's as they took up so much less room in the tank and I didnt have to have the power cord coming up and out the top of the tank. Basically the cleanliness is why the MP10's ended up in my tank.

i vote the mp10 small footprint is key lol, especially when its only a 12 gallon, heck i'd get a mp40 and leave it at the lowest setting and it won't protrude out as much as a k2 lol and you can use it later on for your upgrade to a larger tank lol

My vote is for mp10 as well, its worth the cost. I love my tunzes but like mentioned above, they take up alot of room. IMO if I didn't have my tunzes I probably would be running vortechs

I have an MP10 in my 15G right now and it is probably the best upgrade I've done. I put it into "Reef Crest" mode and my tank has exploded. My SPS has coloured up, has exceptional new growth, and everything is thriving. Definitely tossing a vote for the MP10.
