Make sure that its square to the glass before dropping it in the tank.
and let the magfloat ride alittle high. (More weight on the blade) I also, try to only push the blade around. If you pull, it flexes the flimsy front plate and causes the blade to lift and it never reseats completly flat. Hope this helps.

Will give it a try. Yeah, it always appears to be correctly sitting, but only a small portion of the blade seems to connect.
