![]() I had the same problem and just turned of my return pump and sucked almost all the water out of the over flow and then grabbed the fish with a small net. They can't swim away very easily with only half an inch of water. Assuming the stand pipes draining into your sump were only pressed or screwed into the bulkhead you should be able to easily remove one if its preventing you from getting a small net in there even with the water pumped out. There should be no reason the pipes on the inside of your overflow are glued into the bulkheads.

![]() I found out this evening that the fish should be fine till hubby gets back. Crisis averted...he can reach the overflow.
