One idea that hit me when I read you thread is a reef starter package. Maybe base it on a 90 gal tank, so say 50 lbs of Marco rocks & I don't know maybe 5 lbs of each of the calcium & mag mix"

"What an awesome idea. My suggestion is a "special deal" on the Combo Pack.

Let the customer choose recipe 1 or 2 and you can ship whatever amounts to be a balanced mix.

this would be geared to all of us that know in our hearts that dosing would improve our reefs but are still on the fence:

....it's a pain and too expensive to order from the states (which you solved thank you so very much)

....not sure where to start with what chemicals in what balance (where you come in as the supplier)

....customer gets to try for a month or two (whatever duration the combo kit would provide) see with their own eyes just how much better their tank is doing.....and here is the best part...

You get customers ordering in bulk on a regular basis because you have cultivated that relationship and they trust you.

Obviously it would be great if you could add jugs and pumps (for those of us that still need them) but I know you don't carry them yet...maybe someday"

"Let reefers send you their latest test results for calcium, magnesium and alkalinity and you send them what they need to get their values to target and instructions on how to do that AND maintain them at target after. Supply them with enough for 3 months (estimate based on usage and stock) and use this as a "dosing trial" so they get to see what their tank can look like when ca, mg, alk, and pH are maintained at these levels WITH a small discount on their next order if they keep up with dosing your products when the trial batch runs out"

You would type in your tank size, and it would give you the right amount of rock, sand, chemicals, carbon, etc., with a spreadsheet of how long the chemicals will last you, sand bed depth, gallons taken up by rock, etc. They would get a discount based on how much is purchased"
