I've been using the same package for the last year. How old is yours?

I find it will go dark brown when off and more of a flesh color when "good"
Can't really put a time frame on spoilage since no-one knows how many freeze/thaws (or partial) it had between manufacture and your freezer. Mark |

I bought a stupid number of bags in a group order a long time ago that I haven't finished. Fish still eat it like crazy. My rule of thumb though, I thaw it in a container of tap water which leads to a quick rinse before feeding and anything that looks off or floats doesn't make it into the tank.

Make sure you seal the package air tight when you put it back in the freeze. I noticed my fish dont like the older stuff if it has freezer burn.
Picky fishes!!
