How loud is the GenX40 pump/skimmer in operation?

I probably won't use this without a stand. I found the air intake making more hissing noise than the pump. If you like, you couldd use a mag 18 or 24 to reduce the noise. I have not found any external skimmer / pump that is absolutely silent.
