|  Fluval 405 - what kind of filters for salt Im going from a nano tank to a 90 Gallon tank since I think im up to the challenge however I dont know what filter media I need in my Fluval 405 I bought used I cleaned the heck outta it with hot water and its in great shape but not sure what to put in it to get started>>?? |

|   Gut it. Use carbon packs in you bottom trays and fill the rest with live rock rubble. No bio balls/pellets or foam. The live rock will filter better than any of that other crap and lessen the chances of excess nitrates. Maybe consider going to a sump for that size of tank. |

|  Live sand Im going to build a sump I got everything I need but the protien skimmer but Im just doing live sand and then live rock for now till I get every I need to properly care for coral/fish |

|   I use a fluval 403 to run GFO and GAC, I just feed it back and forth from the sump. Intake near the drain and output near the skimmers intake. |
