![]() My Branching Torch Coral was getting too large. (bottom right in the pic) It was growing up against the front glass and making it tough to clean the glass with the Mag Float.
![]() Here's another shot. ![]() In this pic you can see where it's been stinging the Hydnophora (behind and above it). I also think it may have been stinging the new Squammy because the clam has been moving away from it. ![]() Time to get out the trusty Dremel, hacksaw and goggles. ![]() First chunk cut off. (14 heads) ![]() Second chunk cut off. (9 heads) ![]() And left with a piece with 22 heads ![]() A nice bath in the coral dip. ![]() And then back to the tank. ![]() And the other two pieces to the 225g ![]() ![]() 1/2 hour: Mission accomplished. Polyps aren't totally extended yet as they're still a little pouty.

![]() Goggles! It is almost as if you have experience with coral-and-other-tank-related-stinky-flying-goo and the perils it poses to one's face and/or travel budget.
![]() Man even your frags of it are pretty sizeable. Cool stuff!

Yes Tony, I've had more than my share of stinky-flyng-goo and the perils it poses. Yeah, it was a pretty big Torch: 12" across. Very tricky, and probably quite painful.

Yes, I use it after fragging and on new corals: it helps stop infection, as well as killing nasties that may be hitch hiking on new corals. I also use TLF Coral Revive. Both are good products

![]() tanks looking great Lance.....and great set of instructional type shots.....for a second there i thought I was in Kiens thread
![]() and ya Brad LPS are very delicate (as you probably know) and sometimes no matter how careful you are handling or transporting them, they get damaged.....which like most injuries, opens them up to infection......dipping when you frag or remove or transport them is a good precautionary measure...
