Don't worry so much, we, most of us , started the same way.
Best place to be if you're new, to meet people you can pick their brains and discuss things that have confound/embarrassed you in the hobby, Some of us may even have the answer, at least we can try to help out, if we don't.
Very informal setting and we don't put on airs, except for the gassy kind.
We talk about everything under the sun. Except if you're not a Reefer, the conversation maybe totally gibberish. Much like my sons when they speak "gaming", esp. WOW.
