Just go to your local ro water store and get however many empty bottles you need they should just charge you a deposit on them then you can take them back when your done and get your deposit back.

I'm not a scientist or anything... but based on all the garbage we release into atmosphere.... some of it will come back in snow and rain.....

I'd say stick to RO/DI!! 5 days is nothing in this hobby... I think 5 days of reefer time is equal to 5 sec of non reefer.. hahaha... just be patient.

skip the snow, as well as being a risk for contaminations you would only get about 10 to 20 gall of water out of 180 gal of snow.

there is a thread here about large barrels that were used for veggies, I think they were like $35 for a 55 gal.

thanks i dont think im gonna go buy a bunch of barrels just to use once. ill probably try to make up 100 gallons or so ahead of time and then make the rest directly into the tank
