check the impeller
Is the pump trying to start?
If it is. Take the impeller out. Hold the needlewheel part of the impeller and try to spin the magnet on the impeller shaft. If it spins you may just need a new impeller. Phone proline aquatics if in doubt, I think they can even service the pump for you for less then the cost of a new pump.
