Default 14k/20k MH Bulbs With Highest Par?

So up until now I have been running 10k bulbs in my 2x250w MH hood. It has resulted in amazing growth but duller colors then I would like...
What 14k or 20k bulbs have the highest PAR out put? I know I wont find one as high as my 10k but as high as possible...

What ballast are you using? Electronic (what brand)? M80? M58?
Sometime the ballast will affect the output of bulbs. For the latter 2 ballast types, they can dictate what bulbs you can run.

Check out Sanjay Joshi's site. This guy is anal about his lighting. I've had the best result with the Phoenix 14K.

10k will give you lots of growth,14k will give you a nice ballance of color + growth,20k will slow your growth to a crall but your colors should be way way more intense.
This is what i've noticed in my sps dominante tank.

Kevin from Red Coral told me a while back the Ushio 20K HQI's have a higher Par than the Phoenix 14K.

I personally run a Phoenix 14K HQI in a Hamilton Reef Star and a 250W HQI PFO ballast. I think with this combo its pushing 320W and I love the nice blue colour this bulb puts out.

Ryan I must have mistaken our conversation my apologies. I have used both and do feel the Phoenix 14 k has more punch (par) than the Ushio 20k. I do think though the color temp between the two is very similar.
Thanks
Kevin
