![]() i am putting 40degree optics.
the whole setup will be 3 separate arrays with each containing 40 X3w led.running them over a 180glns tank. the reason they are close is because i am running an ac 6" fan on each heatsink, keeping it as low as 26 degrees. will be running it at 1050Ma for all leds. the 3rd photo is just a test sample of only 6 led on a small heatsink with a puckpuk running intervals at 170Ma,400Ma and the last at 920Ma. |

![]() So with those optics I'm assuming that you are putting the fixture quite high above the tank. Otherwise I would suspect that you might have three big spotlights.

![]() Looking forward to the build. I haven't started yet other than a test build.
I just noticed that you have a lot of LED's in that string...what driver are you using again?

![]() Be really careful on that string of 30...at the levels you are playing with serious injury to yourself would be very very easy. When you first light it, don't touch the heatsink if anything is out of the ordinary (even a dim led or two).
