how long are they staying on? it should run at 1000mA
Ive only tested mine with 2 AA batteries in series atm since im still playing with the design. which power supply and buckpuck are you using? Last edited by Milad; 02-08-2011 at 07:00 AM.

they are staying on for no more than 10 seconds.
i would like to run them at wat their max should be because i have no problem keeping the temperature near 27 degree. power supply i used on an old led setup 24VDC 6.5 Amps dimmable 24VDC 1000Ma buckpuck. cant recall the model but i used it on my old system running it at 1000Ma for phillips 3w led and no problem. Now everyone is going to be scared to run theirs at 1000mA to check it out! Well I don't think any other LED looks like the XP-E expect the XP-G and the XP-C. The XP-G only comes in white, the XP-C does come in royal blue but they would burn at 700mA. So I don't think they mixed up the LEDs (hopefully). How are you measuring your current?

i have done few more tests.
the 1st test burnt the royal blue. the last test was fine with no burnt led everything seems with no problem. the reason for the shorting led of the 1st test is because i used 3 XPG and 3 XPE all in one series. last test witch worked well i used 6 XPG in a series and no problem. another one i rigged 6 XPE in a series separate buckpuck with no problem too. i am happy with the results because i am planning to place an order tomorrow for the drivers. all in all i only managed to burn 3 XPE royal blue.
