check out the nano-reef led threads (much better than any other led threads i have seen on 8-9 of the other forums i am a part of)
long story short - they are realizing the days of cool whites with royal blues are not enough to get the coral growth they are looking for or colour variety. Some experiments are being done with "cool blue" leds, warm whites, reds, green/cyan leds to mimic the spectrum of a multi bulb t5 system. Colour blending has been difficult due to the point source lighting that leds are but the results look promising
