Default HQI bulb question

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a non HQI DE 250w bulb? Just curious as I saw some listed on eBay but I thought that all DE bulbs were HQI. What the heck does HQI stand for anyhow?

hqi refers to the ballast not the bulb. in general i *think* hqi (m80) magnetic ballasts are for driving european bulbs as close as possible to spec. I run radiums which are SE and are intended to be driven by m80.
