![]() I've had my Australian for 13 months now. I even fragged it into 3 pieces back in August. I try to keep my water parameters optimal.
1.025 Ca +/-420 ppm KH +/- 9 dkh Mg 1300-1500 ppm PO4 undetectable NO3 undetectable Lighting is indirect from a 250W Phoenix 14K and flow is moderate so that the tentacles sway slightly. I also feed them pieces small pieces of krill or silverside about twice a week. The tentacles are sticky enough to grab and pull food in to be eaten.

![]() Skeleton down in the sand with the tentacles and mouth facing up. Flow - just enough to move the tentacles softly. Lighting, indirect. Too much light is bad. Spot feed occasionally. Don't let the flesh touch rock - if possible. The flesh is fairly sensitive.
I have a re mouthed elegance I may need to trade in because it has balooned up so much, it's presse dup against the glass. It has at least 15 mouths! ![]() |

![]() everyone says they are tough, but I've never had problems with them. I just plop em on the sand where I want, so long as there is not strong flow.
