![]() Hey all, I am trying to figure out how to get a rotifer culture started. Where can a guy get rotifer eggs?
My clowns have recently started spawning (like every two weeks) and I am considering trying to rear the young. I have bred and reared hundreds if not thousands of freshwater fish, but never needed any food smaller them artemia. If anyone here has any experience or advice on an alternative food for the clown larvae, I am certainly interested to know. Thanks, Bill |

![]() Pardon me. Where I got mine was from http://www.aquaculture-supply.com/
It isn't much of a e-commerce site, but you can download their catalog in PDF format and then call them up and order from them. |

![]() I just ordered some rotifer cysts from them today. I guess they can't sell "live" rotifers over the border. I also ordered the Plankton Culture Manual from them as well. The prices were quite reasonable too.
I doubt I will get everything in time for this batch of approx 75 clown larvae. I think they are only 3 to 4 days from free swimming. Well, I'll be ready for the next batch. Bill |
