ya no kidding, i wanna know if its actually because the bulbs are 10 months old or the UVLs are that much better.

I think it's because they have a reflector built in to them aswell. You was in need of a change if they were 10 months old. I have seen the same sort of difference on normal t5s that are the same make and spec. It's a real eye opener when you think everything is ok with them until you do this lol.

Be careful! When I switched mine they actually caused some of my colonies to bleach (they've bounced back just fine). Remember to reduce your actinic period for a bit.

they are suppose to double the par comparing to coralife PC that comes with biocube..
go search nano-reef.com... there's quite a few discussion on them, especially with nano cube owners, since lighting upgrade isn't as easy as hanging a MH over top the tank when you want to keep the stock look of the tank
