Default Lighting ?

I am looking at upgrading my current lighting 2x400watt 6500k bulbs and 2 core and coil ballast. The upgraded lighting I am hoping to get 2x400watt Ushio bulbs. My question has to do with the electronic ballasts, can they run any type of bulb or do I have to get a specific type to run the bulbs other than the specific wattage?

They can run all 400w bulbs. What brand are you thinking of?

Not really sure what brand, I've seen people talking about the blue line ones though. Might go in to a lighting store. Just to be sure though a 400 watt e ballast will power anything from a radium (HQI) to a Iwasaki(EYE) right?

I'm told they do, however, some specialty ballasts are tuned to run some bulbs better. You're probably better deciding what ballast and then confirm it runs all bulbs. I've never run one, so I'm just going by what I've read.
