			Lance, my understanding is that the clear stuff is the required bonder because it has some flex/give to it, but the grey stuff will still bond it. I like to use the clear stuff even on rigid plumbing because of the clean look you get out of it (the purple primer makes such a mess of things). I dunno it's what I've always done, one of those things that "someone told it was fine" and I've believed it ever since.
