use the canister filter for a polishing device. take all the floss and ceramic crap out of it and use it as a another powerhead. and when you need to run say phosban you can put some in a small bag and same as carbon......

get a good skimmer. better yet with a 25 gal i wouldt worry about a skimmer a 5 gal waterchange. is alot better in the long run.

I stuffed my canister full of live rock. But still have a sump in the works...i'm the poor slacker type lol

I've heard those Sea Clones are pretty bad. The HOB Remora I have is pretty good on my 20L if you're thinking of that sort of skimmer (HOB), since you're sumpless. The canister filter could be used as a reactor like Skimmer King suggested, although it's sort of an expensive option when compared to, say, a BRS reactor. Of course, if you already have it...

i took my 404 fluval off my 50 gal a couple months ago no issues as long as you have a good skimmer and lots of live rock
