how the beep beep beep do i get rid of an oil slick at top of tank

makes me think you have a huge excess of proteins. or your skimmer really isn't doing it.
esp if foam is building up in the overflow.
I notice when I feed silversides It gets messy but it's quickly taken down the overflow into the skimmer. never seen again.
