Default What lighting would you suggest?

I have a 34g cube and with the substrate it is about 18" deep, I have a 70w mh pendant with a marineland l.e.d set-up that goes with it. the question is what bulb for the 70w pendant? 10,000? 14000, 20000 or 30000k. I am not putting any sps in the tank, softies only. So what would you suggest and why? Colour?? more blue in spectrum?? Right now this tank only has pc lighting with the l.e.d. set up. Look forward to all your suggestions.

I was always told as a general rule that single blubs you should go with a 20,000k. If you had atinics then you want a 14,000k. Best combos/coloration for most corals. But someone with more experience please chime in.

Hey Darryl,

I'd go for 14k or 20k personally. 10k looks too yellow for me.

As a reference, I had 14k on my cube & have 20k on the bow front.

I love 70w HQI...
Alot of versatility and in my BC14 I can keep literally anything under on of these...

Ive done a fair amount of looking into and trying out different bulbs and the one 70w bulb that I go with now is ironically the one that came stock on my fixture...Current 14k.

Awesome blue tinge to it and always had a geat response from my corals...
LPS really seem to like this light.

Just to qualify what I said before you go ahead it 20k...

My 20k's are not as blue as a lot of 20k's that I've seen.

Can't remember what brand I'm running, but I'm sure Paul or Eugene at OC should remember as they came with my fixture.
