Anyone Have Experience Setting up a Neptune Apex on a Telus 2WIRE Router?

The whole port forwarding thing doesn't work the way the book describes. The Router/Modem has its own configuration for remote access but I cannot get remote access to my Apex. Anyone with experience accessing the Apex through Telus? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
