3 would be impossible for the average size persons. There were 4 of us and it was quite a haul. We took 4 brakes and it took us 30 minutes to get it from the driveway to the basement in the tank room.

The last time I moved a 230 into my basement I rented suction cups. They really helped and we were able to move it with only two of us. That sucker was so heavy that it is still there in my last house.
