![]() I'm so sorry, what was I thinking.
![]() Yes thats the shut off for the RO. I'm going to change it to sensors and set up my Profilux to control all my water level needs. Going to try and get the most out off it, thats what you pay for.

![]() Whether you use the float shut off or the Profilux sensors to shut off the flow...I would also tap an overflow drain on the tank if you can. No harm in having an absolute overflow failsafe in place if you can.

![]() I agree with Brad. Not to mention you don't want to ruin the living room.
Did you use uniseals on the garbage can? I'm not familiar with mounting to curved surfaces but it seems like a risky thing no? |

![]() I have a float for my sump ( not installed yet ) and I was going to use two redundant control valves to be operated by my Apex. I have no access to an drain in case of an overflow so I'm a bit worried about it. I have been topping off manually till I get it all hooked up.

![]() That's unfortunate. Access to a drain near to the tank is useful is SO many ways.

![]() So a little bit of an update of sorts I guess. So I've used Seachems reefers salt for several years so I decided to step it up a bit and go to their high end mix, Salinity. I've mixed a couple of batches now for my current system and really like the readings so far. They've been bang on to their claims. It mixes relatively nice so no complaints so far and mixes about 225g's. A little pricey so here in Calgary you have to watch, found price differences of over $30 from one LFS to another.
![]() And I really like this locking ratchet feature of the lid, one finger to unlock it to loosen the lid, especially for a one armed gimp like me. But the carrying strap did come off on one side of the bucket while I was carry it while it was still full, so I'm not sure if this is a common problem. Not fun especially with how heavy it was. ![]()

![]() And now the best part a little surprise
![]() ![]() ...a new skimmer - Vertex Alpha 200. Now I hope that it is going to be big enough as I was thinking of the 250, but was told this will easily handle what I'm after (but someone else on here was told the same thing and it didn't work out so I guess I'll see) ![]() the pump ![]() ![]() love the quility of this thing... ![]() ![]()
