|   Essentially yes, running the pellets would make GFO redundant.  The Pellets also soak up Nitrates that GFO does not, just to name a couple of benefits. |

|   Absolutely!  Pellets don't metabolize toxins, heavy metals, tannins, or chemicals from the water. Carbon is important. |
