Have you considered the possibility of a mishap filling up that tray and submerging your external pump? That could be disastrous. Pretty sure the motor is not waterproof.

Ya I have thought of that but hopefully it will all work the way I have planned. The tray is just to catch any water that might spill if I have to pull a pump out. If all the plumbing is sealed correctly there should be no mishaps.
