![]() on the weekend I made a eggcrate stand for the skimmer and its now sitting in 8" of water and is running like a dream! The outflow knob is dialed in a 3.5(out of 6) Im staring to get that thick foam ive been looking for

![]() Interesting to know, where did you set the skimming water level?
Inside the neck or just below the neck? If inside the neck how far up? I am running the BM-150Pro (uses the same pump) and with ultra low nutrients its still pulling Poo daily ![]() |

![]() I set the water line about an inch below the red ring on the skimmer body. I find it give the bubbles more space to build up. The skimmer is in 8" of water at the moment.

![]() So right at the base of the neck.
This is actually where Bubble Magus recommend also for optimum dry skimming, for a more wet skim then have the water line more into the neck itself. Last edited by Aqua-Digital; 04-07-2010 at 12:46 PM. |
