![]() Frankly I do not know what bryopsis is. I have one piece of LR that has something like the picture on it. When it gets too long I put the rock in my main tank for my Sally Lightfoot to graze on. Unfortunately that same rock has Xenia on it, and it grows faster than the algae.

![]() Bob,
You DON'T want Bryopsis. Nothing eats it. Well short of lettuce sea slugs. And they just suck the juices out of it. :D It is a very stiff feathery algae that grows even when there is no logical reason for it to grow. I have used boiling water, kalk paste, toothbrushes, crabs, snails, fingers, forceps, slugs and now conches to fight this stuff. It keeps coming back.. ask Christy and Sam what this junk is like. I am lucky it looks as if I am beating it. Without tearing my tank down and starting over. Adam, You know what, you may be right. IT does look like the same stuff. Funny thing is I have no clue where I got this one from. Could be either Marc or Jamie I guess. All I know is it has doubled in size in the last couple of months. Which makes me happy.
