Anyone been at Pisces lately? (Em?) I heard they had some T-5's for a reasonable price. I'm looking for some 4' antics. Anyone trying them yet other than Jonathan ? - he seems to like them.

150g reef, 55g sump, T5's, Vertech 200A, Profilux III - German made is highly over rated, should just say Gerpan made.

Reefkeeper - individual obsessed with placing disturbing amounts of electricity and seawater in close proximity for the purpose of maintaining live coral reef organisms.

$44.99 for one 4'ballast and bulb. They don't sell bulbs separately yet.

I see the white bulbs are only 6500k - anyone see them lit ?

Hey Deb,

Check to see if they are the disposible ones. The t-5's around here are one time use only........ although 10K colour temp.

I thought they were a deal until I fouund out they were single use.

They are a T-5 strip light that is like a "light stick"......... once the bulb burns out you have to buy a new unit. I guess that is why they are quite cheap.

ah, that might explain why they always come with a ballast, thanks victor. The dude just said duh.

Yes Andy I still am looking at the T5's. Very much so.

The T5's at Pisces do come with the ballast but the bulbs are removable so they can be replaced later on ... I actually picked up a 6500K and a actinic for my daughters tank ( 15G Nano )
