As per my plumber friend who did my tank, the check valve should be near the pump, I can't remember why, but there was a reason.

Don't matter if it works or not although I really don't think I'll have a problem with the way I have it. There's plenty of room in the sump if it ever fails.

Just got my computer back after it crashed. As of now the tank's aquascaped and it's started it's cycle. I'll have some new pics soon.

A few pics, added the rest of the rock and sugar sand and aquascaped.




Wanted to go with a single mound in the center to maximize swimming space, I plan on getting a smaller tang (Yellow or Scopas) eventually. Right now the tank is cycling and getting a bit or diatom growth on some of the rocks.





Under actinics


I've heard fiji purple bulbs are algae magnets although they really make the colors pop. Should I swap out one of them for something else?
