Workhorse Ballasts
Hi,
Like Darren said, it is basically driving a lamp beyond its normal intended operation. Are you familiar with Icecap 440 or 660 ? Basically, the workhorse is a poor man's Icecap -- that was the main idea. It does not have as many features as Icecap, but it gets you 80% of the way there. Stuff like dimming and soft light starting are not on the poor man's version. - Victor.
