Yes VERY beautiful!

Mine ate a decent amount of fish too. I still have no idea why they used to go near it My favorite blenny was the last to get eaten before I decided it had to go. I did have a sixline that got stuck in it but I was there and managed to get him out and he survived the "attack".

My green capet nem's first meal was a skooter blenny we got it when it was about 1" and the nem got it when it was about 2.5" - 3". I hope he liked it they are very entertaning but I think the skooner blenny was lacking in the brains department. I think he just hoped right no to the nem and that is all she wrote. A couple of days after I had not seen the skooner blenny the nem had a poo that kind of looked like the skooners skin in color that is. My clowns love the nem through the femal will shape the nem just the way she likes it. Then she will swim up from under it into one of the folds and just rest there for a few minutes.

Hmm..in 12 years I can't say for sure that mine has eaten any fish. It has eaten a hermit crab or two.

I had a haddoni carpet like Brad's for about 4 years and never lost a fish to it (although the odd hermit or snail). After I sold it, I heard that it devoured all kinds of fish in the various homes it had since then ... I lost track of it after the 3rd or 4th time it was resold. Makes me wonder though if they could have been opportunistic scavengings though since at least some of the fish were what you would call "high mortality candidates" anyhow (chromis, anthias, Moorish idol, etc.). However they were not my tanks so it's maybe not fair for me to speculate.

All the gigantea species I've had, have never eaten a thing I didn't feed them in the first place. They've all been model citizens in this regard, even the 2 of them I have in a 40g shallow tank have never been a threat to anyone in that tank. I know this experience differs from GSP's experience with gigantea, but I honestly do think his case was more the exception than the rule. Over the years I've now kept about 5 different giganteas and some of them as long as 5 years so far and they've all been the same in this regard. I guess like with anything it's going to depend on individual circumstances but theoretically it ought to be OK.

FWIW, not 100% yet since the picture is of a still acclimating specimen, but I think Jason's carpet is a gigantea.

Also FWIW, the one that fragNplug is talking of at Red Coral is also a gigantea. However it is the size of a German Shepherd. That's some tank it's going to need. Spectacular specimen though.

well it hasn't expanded much past what the picture shows. It is eating and thankfully seems to like where it is.
