![]() im fairly new to the SW scene , been involved since about last christmas. though i have kept freshwater tanks in the past.
my tank is a 55g, no sump. kinda kickin myself over that, but there's a good reason to get into a bigger tank ![]() we'll start it off with the fish! azure demoiselle ![]() scopas tang, sorry about the blurry shot ![]() blackbar chromis ![]() purple firefish ![]() dragon goby ![]() mystery wrasse ![]() fire shrimp (wrasse ate him) ![]() cleaner shrimp (wrasse took off the legs, elegance finished him off) ![]() some of the coral ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() poor angle full tank shot. ![]() thanks for looking! im loving the hobby |

![]() haha yes the wrasse is not in my good books at the moment. the shrimp were my favorites. at least hes healthy i guess!
i had 2 percula clowns in the tank, they were removed because they kept fighting in and amongst the corals, probably trying to establish dominance to determine sex. but yes one of the clowns did host it, aswell as others like hammers and umbrella leather. it was getting pretty violent and starting to do some damage so they had to go. those are the true colors, i didnt adjust anything on the camera or edit it at all. the greens are much brighter and more fluorescent in person. it looks a bit better in this pic ![]() |

![]() Nope.. elegance corals are stationary, but you need to put a lot of room around them and your other corals because they can expand up 4xs the size of their skeleton. Also they do better if your tank isn't exactly perfect in terms of water conditions, so backing off some skimming helps these guys.
