Never really seen anybody's carpet split on its own.
Reading all the "cut your anemone" threads (aka propagation threads), carpets both Haddoni and Gigantea seems to release a large amount of toxin into the water when cut in half and will take out tanks too. The only thing that seems to split is BTA, all others are rare occurances.
