I have a sump under my tank that cant come out and my new skimmer base is to big to get it int the sump, so can i get a glass cutter to come out and cut some glass out of my sump so i can get my skimmer in or do i have to just break the sump apart?

Glass is NOT cut, per se, but it is scored and then snapped. I don't think they can do that vertically. Glass sheets are placed on horizontally on a flat surface and then scored & snapped. Perhaps with a dremel you could slowly cut the pane vertically, but not the traditional way.

If you see it, can take care of it, better get it or put it on hold. Otherwise, it'll be gone & you'll regret it! |

I used an angle grinder with a diamond blade to cut a chunk of glass out of my sump for the same reason you want too. It worked really well although I did it before there was any water in it.

depending on the skimmer design, adjust the base (cut or grind) if it doesn't ruin the performance.
